The terminal enables interested companies to use our terminal services for storage and transshipment of cargo flows by sea, rail and road in their export-import activities.
Infrastructure allows the storage of both bulk and piece goods in warehouses and the transshipment of goods on the terminal’s territory between the means of transport by road, rail and sea.
Rail Baltica railway station will be built in Muuga harbor in the close vicinity of Bulk & Tank terminal.When Rail Baltica will be completed, the use of rail transport for two-way trade with Scandinavian and Western European countries, as well as with Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus, Ukraine and the Russian Federation, will become much more efficient and cost-effective.
Loading and storage of bulk materials (cereals, crushed stone, wood chips, etc.), timber and packaged goods (including containers), can be done either on asphalt (3.0 ha + 0.5 ha) or in two PVC-covered warehouses, each with an area of 4000m2and a height of 10m.
Terminal allows to serve vessels with a carrying capacity inbetween 1000 – 120 000 mt (dwt), length of berths 900m and depth of water at berth 10 – 17m.
Unloading-loading of railway wagons with total payload up to 3000t(possibility to process 50 wagons at a time) and the total length of loading, unloading and reloading area of railway wagons approx. 1000m.
4 tanks with a capacity of 3000- 4000tons for storing cement, liquid bitumen, chemicals etc.
The terminal allows servicing vehicles (combinations of vehicles) up to 35m in length with a total weight of up to 76t and a cargo weight of up to 50t. Car weight with a length of 24mand weighing potential up to 90t.
Infrastructure and equipment
The necessary technical equipment for loading and reloading each type of goods as well as the technical staff with the required qualifications, in addition laboratory facilities to control the quality of bulk commodities, furnished office and utility rooms, with total area of 150m2.
